Extract Information Data Policy


What is personal data?
Personal data is any information relating to a natural person, including name, address, identification number, location data and online identifier.

Data Safety and Security
We aim to maintain your information safely and securely, and to keep it only as long as is necessary and to use it only for our stated legitimate business interests, which are described below.

Personal Data held by Extract Information and how we use it
Extract Information holds information such as names, business function, title, organisation, email addresses of customers, and enquirers relating to its search, consultancy and training activities.  In addition, Extract Information holds the names and email addresses of all those who have subscribed to the InfoBlog.
This data is used for our legitimate interests.  Namely to communicate with customers, and blog readers and those who have expressed an interest in Extract Information’s services.  We wish to build a long term relationship with you and so we will hold your data unless you inform us you are no longer interested in receiving email communications.

The GDPR EU regulation came into effect on 25th May 2018. This regulation governs the usage (storing and processing) of personal data by any organisation within the European Economic Area.

The data protection law gives individuals the right to know what information is held about them and provides a framework to ensure that personal information is handled by any organisation.  The current legislation is the UK : Data Protection Act 1998
